• Amadou and Miriam -Magossa from "Welcome to Mali" (Malian couple with a long history of incredible musical offerings).
• Oumou Sangare -Sounsoumba from her brand new release, "Seya" (another legendary Malian artist)
• Vieux Farka Toure - Sarama from his brand new release, "Fondo" (Ali Farka Toure's son and a Malian guitar virtuoso developing his own name in world music circles)
• Amadou and Miriam -Batoma, another track from their new release, "Welcome to Mali"
• Daby Toure -Mi Wawa, from this Malian musician's 2004 release "Diam"
• Habib Koite -Bitile, from his 1999 Putumayo release "Ma Ya". Habib and his band Bamada are huge influence in Malian and W. African music.

• Les Escrocs -Pirates from a compilation titled "Mali Lolo! Stars of Mali" on Smithsonian Folkways.

• Orchestra Baobab -Ami kita bay from their excellent 2008 release "Made in Dakar." These folks are real legends spanning decades of music.
• Pape & Cheikh -Jello from their 2002 Real World release, "Mariama".
• Daara J -Le Cycle a track featuring Malian singer Rokia Traore from this Senegalese rap band's 2005 release titled "Boomerang." Shows how hip-hop has gone global...
