Thank you from Vietnam KMUN!!!!

Good morning (good evening as for me there is about 15 hrs difference between the Tillicum house and Vietnam).

I am an Astoria resident who will be working and living in Vietnam for next few years (coming back a few times a year to Astoria) and I just felt compelled to write KMUN to address my many thanks and gratitude.

I have always said and proclaimed to whoever wanted to listen since I moved to Astoria 4 years ago that KMUN is probably the BEST radio station I have ever had the pleasure to listen to. I have been all over the world, lived in many places and many countries but I have never found the quality and diversity of KMUN anywhere else, far from it.

Even thought I was born overseas in France ( just like Michel Meiffren), Astoria IS home and listening to KMUN live on the web helps me stay connected with that special magical place that we all love so much.

I know that it is early morning in Astoria as I am writing this and one of my favorite Daily show: "morning classics" is now playing and I can absolutely recreate in my mind the fantastic view that I usually get when I get up at home on top of the hill on Harrison street and listen to that program. I can see the soft dawn light on the Astoria column, the mist on the Columbia river, a few ships passing by and the whole town slowly waking up to a great new day. Even thought I am for now thousands of miles away I know that this exactly what is taking place right now at home. Soon the "SHIP REPORT" also one of my favorite will be on the air.

Please pass my warmest thank you to the whole team of volunteers who keep that "beacon" of light and culture shining all over the world through the radio waves and the WEB.
